In the world of modern hair color, few names generate as much excitement as celebrity colorist Jenna Perry. Known for creating luminous blondes and effortless “cool-girl” hair for clients like Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Kaia Gerber, Perry has built a reputation as one of New York’s most influential color experts.

But her latest project isn’t just about hair color. It’s about creating an entirely new kind of beauty experience—one that combines relaxation, scalp care, and styling into a single destination.

Her newest salon concept in New York’s East Village reflects both her professional journey and her personal philosophy about beauty: great hair should feel indulgent, restorative, and effortless.

A Lifelong Love of Hair

Jenna Perry’s path into the beauty industry began long before she worked with celebrities. Growing up in Rhode Island, she spent much of her childhood at salons with her grandmother and aunt. Those early experiences sparked a fascination with hairstyling that eventually shaped her career ambitions.

By her teenage years, Perry already knew she wanted to work in hair—and she was determined to do it in New York City. Once she arrived, she spent years learning every aspect of the industry. She assisted on fashion shoots, worked weddings, and even trained in barbering techniques before eventually focusing on hair coloring.

Through this hands-on experience, she developed a distinctive philosophy about hair: color should look natural, dimensional, and tailored to each individual.

The Celebrity Breakthrough

A turning point in Perry’s career came in 2017 when she colored the hair of model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The collaboration lasted for two years and introduced Perry to an influential network of stylists, celebrities, and beauty insiders.

Soon after, she began working with Bella Hadid—a moment she often credits with bringing widespread attention to her work. From there, word spread quickly among fashion circles. Clients such as Chloë Sevigny, Emily Ratajkowski, and Kaia Gerber joined her roster, helping establish her reputation as a go-to colorist for the fashion industry.

At one point, she was even asked to fly out on short notice to transform Kendall Jenner’s hair for a major project—a testament to how sought-after her expertise had become.

The First Salon—and an Unexpected Challenge

Despite her growing fame, opening a salon wasn’t originally part of Perry’s plan. But as her clientele expanded, she began imagining a creative space that reflected her vision of beauty.

In 2019, she opened her first salon in the East Village, describing the concept as a “girly barbershop”—a place where cool downtown energy met expert hair color.

Only six months later, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the business to temporarily shut down. Like many small businesses, the salon faced an uncertain future. However, the local community supported the salon once it reopened, allowing it to recover and continue growing.

By 2021, Perry expanded her brand with a larger flagship salon in Soho, offering a full range of services including haircuts, color, and extensions.

But she never forgot the space where it all began.

A New Concept: “Jenna’s”

Years after opening her first location, Perry decided to transform the original East Village salon into something entirely new.

The revamped space, called “Jenna’s,” is designed to combine two experiences that are rarely offered together: scalp treatments and professional blowouts.

Traditionally, scalp treatments focus purely on hair health, while blow-dry bars emphasize quick styling. Perry wanted to merge the two so that clients could both relax and leave with polished hair.

Her inspiration came from personal self-care rituals. She and her best friend—also named Jenna—often unwind with massages or spa visits. The new salon concept recreates that relaxing atmosphere but focuses on hair and scalp wellness.

In other words, the space functions almost like a spa for your hair.

Treatments Designed for Hair Health

At Jenna’s, the services focus on restoring both scalp balance and hair quality. Treatments include detox services that remove buildup from metals and minerals, moisturizing therapies that hydrate dry strands, and calming scalp rituals designed to reduce stress.

Each treatment is paired with a professional blowout so clients leave not only feeling relaxed but also looking styled and refreshed.

The goal is to make haircare feel like a restorative ritual rather than a rushed appointment.

Designing a Space That Feels Special

The design of the salon reflects Perry’s attention to detail. While the original studio had a light, dreamy aesthetic, the new space embraces warmer tones and natural materials. Wood textures and soft lighting create an atmosphere that feels grounded and intimate.

One of the centerpiece elements is a Murano glass chandelier that Perry had long dreamed of installing. The decorative piece adds an artistic focal point and reflects the creative spirit of the space.

Throughout the salon, carefully chosen furniture and décor help reinforce the idea that beauty environments should feel inspiring—not clinical

Curating Beauty Beyond Hair

In addition to treatments, the salon also features a curated selection of beauty products chosen by Perry herself. Because she receives countless product samples as an industry expert, she decided to showcase some of her favorites within the space.

These products range from haircare essentials to luxury brushes and skincare items. The idea is to create a small discovery shop where visitors can explore new brands and products.

Perry even envisions expanding convenience services in the future, including local delivery options for certain products.

A Return to Her Roots

Although Jenna Perry now runs a successful flagship salon in Soho and works with some of the biggest names in fashion, the East Village location remains deeply meaningful to her.

Reimagining the original space allowed her to reconnect with the neighborhood that helped launch her career.

More importantly, it gave her an opportunity to redefine what a hair salon can be: a place not only for beauty transformations, but also for relaxation, creativity, and self-care.

The Future of Haircare Experiences

Jenna Perry’s new salon concept reflects a broader shift happening across the beauty industry. Clients are increasingly seeking experiences that combine wellness with aesthetics.

By blending scalp therapy, styling, and a spa-like atmosphere, Perry’s East Village space offers something unique—an environment where people can slow down, recharge, and leave feeling confident.

For a colorist known for creating some of the most coveted hair in the fashion world, it’s a fitting evolution.

Because in Perry’s view, great hair isn’t just about color—it’s about how you feel when you walk out the door.
